Inheritance
Tax Planning
Do you know who will get the most from what you leave behind? Your family?, Your friends or charities?, The taxman?
According to Roy Jenkins, 'Inheritance Tax is a levy paid by those
who distrust their relatives more than they dislike the Inland
Revenue!'.
If you are married or in a civil partnership, current UK legislation allows up to £624,000 of your
estate to be free from Inheritance Tax. It may sound a lot but
when you add up the value of your house, savings and investments
and other belongings, you may be surprised by how much your estate
is actually worth. With house prices generally rising, in 5 or
10 years time, the value of your estate is likely to be a great
deal more.
Whilst it is often good news and comforting to know that your
assets are growing in value, the bad news is that under current
legislation, the taxman could take a massive 40% of everything
you leave over the £624,000 limit.
This means that the Inland Revenue may receive more from your
estate than your loved ones! Many people do not realise this and
don't know what they can do about it.
We believe that this tax can easily be reduced if not eliminated
with some straightforward planning. Our popular fee free Inheritance
Tax Planning Service aims to help you reduce this tax but retain
control over your investments and estate, if that is what you require.

Skipton Financial Services (SFS), was chosen to offer a special Inheritance Tax Planning service to the readers of the Daily and Sunday Telegraph. The Telegraph Group chose SFS above all other IFAs in the country due to their established and proven expertise in the IHT field.
